Task: Create a modern solution to allow instructors to present to a differing number of students in large combine-divide rooms while utilizing some existing infrastructure.

Purpose: Students need to be able to be engaged by one or more instructors easily and efficiently with minimal distraction. Instructors require ease of use and seamless operation while transitioning from devices and modules.

Solution:

Utilizing the existing lecterns, current technology, and creativity the classrooms were transformed into more ideal learning spaces. The first series of classrooms made use of six Da-Lite Electrol screens, NEC 6500 lumen projectors, Lumens PTZ cameras, and NEC confidence monitors. Video Reality customized their existing lecterns to incorporate Crestron 10″ touch displays, Lumens document cameras, and Shure QLX microphones as well as Shure MXA-910’s. Combined with QSC Core 110’s Video Reality used the AES67 feature over Q-LAN to ensure multi-casting with low latency and crystal-clear voice.

In all, Video Reality completed two large combinable classrooms with up to six partitions. A total of 9 Da-Lite screens and NEC 4K Projectors were installed to enable the instructors to create diverse group accommodations with the touch of a button. The Polycom Group 700 was also reincorporated into the workflow along with Panopto software for easy lesson and lecture capture. Video Reality chose the Lumens PTZ cameras in conjunction with their reliability, functionality, and excellent overall design.

The faculty members were able to collaborate on what functions they wanted available on their Crestron Touchscreen Displays and were given the ability to test their systems over the week following installation. Some functions were added or improved upon following the installation to ensure the utmost satisfaction of the faculty. Video Reality prides itself on exceptional quality and the highest standards in the Audio-Visual Industry. The project isn’t completed until the end-user is trained on the products and fully satisfied with their investment.
